CALL FOR PAPERS

The Thirty Third International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (SEKE 2021) will be held as a virtual conference at the KSIR Virtual Conference Center, Pittsburgh, USA, from July 1 to July 10, 2021.

The conference aims at bringing together experts in software engineering and knowledge engineering to discuss on relevant results in either software engineering or knowledge engineering or both. Special emphasis will be put on the transference of methods between both domains. The themes this year are (a) Big Data in SE&KE and (b) SE&KE Education. Submission of papers and demos are both welcome.

NEW SPECIAL THEME ON SEKE EDUCATION

The new theme on SEKE education can be interpreted more narrowly as how to teach software engineering and knowledge engineering courses more effectively during the time of the pandemic. It can also be interpreted it more broadly as how to teach ANY course more effectively using software engineering and knowledge engineering ways of thinking, methodology and techniques/tools. Papers are invited on SEKE education to deal with philosophical, methodological and instructional and tools, including innovative solutions and experimental results.

SPECIAL ISSUE OF IJSEKE JOURNAL

The best ranked papers from the conference will be selected for a special issue of the International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (IJSEKE) to be published in December 2021 for early dissemination.

CO-LOCATED CONFERENCE

The Int'l DMS Conference on Visualization and Visual Languages DMSVIVA2021 (ksiresearch.org/seke/dmsviva21.html) will be held as a virtual conference from June 29 to June 30, 2021. Authors are welcome to contribute papers and attend both conferences.
